Our lives will tell if we love Him
Tonight hundreds of people gathered to become a voice for the voiceless.
What will you do to change the world?
When are you going to stop living lives of significance in order to love others into significance?
When will this stop being about you?
These were the questions tonight. Despite the amazing music and powerful imagery we witnessed, it was our unity in this moment, this journey that was impacting. Will we come together, laying everything down for our brother, and help usher in the kingdom? Or will we let the millions cry out and ignore them, covering our ears to their pain.
Their pain is our pain.
You only get one life - do something.....

*My favorite U2 song performed tonight by Roger:
I cant believe the news today
Oh, I cant close my eyes and make it go away
How long...
How long must we sing this song?
How long? how long...
cause tonight...
we can be as one
Tonight...
Broken bottles under childrens feet
Bodies strewn across the dead end street
But I wont heed the battle call
It puts my back up
Puts my back up against the wall
Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday
And the battles just begun
Theres many lost, but tell me who has won
The trench is dug within our hearts
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart
Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday
How long...
How long must we sing this song?
How long? how long...
cause tonight...we can be as one
Tonight...
Tonight...
Sunday, bloody sunday
Wipe the tears from your eyes
Wipe your tears away
Wipe your tears away
I wipe your tears away
(sunday, bloody sunday)
I wipe your blood shot eyes
(sunday, bloody sunday)
Sunday, bloody sunday (sunday, bloody sunday)
Sunday, bloody sunday (sunday, bloody sunday)
And its true we are immune
When fact is fiction and tv reality
And today the millions cry
We eat and drink while tomorrow they die
The real battle yet begun (sunday, bloody sunday)
To claim the victory Jesus won (sunday, bloody sunday)
Sunday bloody sunday
Sunday bloody sunday...
From Wikpedia:
Bloody Sunday is the term used to describe an incident in Derry, Northern Ireland, on 30 January 1972 in which 26 Irish Civil Rights protestors were shot by members of 1st Battalion of the British Parachute Regiment, during a Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association march in the Bogside area of the city. Thirteen people, six of whom were minors, died immediately, while the death of another person 4½ months later has been attributed to the injuries he received on the day. Two protesters were injured when run down by army vehicles. Many witnesses including bystanders and journalists testify that all those shot were all unarmed. Five of those wounded were shot in the back.
